TIDE MARITIME ASSOCIADOS LTDA was established in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in 2005 as a ship brokerage house focused on the tanker business.
Its founders and partners have extensive experience and background in the Brazilian and international ship-owning, trading, and shipbroking markets.
The continuous growth in the biofuel, specialized and oil & offshore markets in South America has elevated Tide to a leading position in the segment. In 2008, the company became the first Brazilian brokerage to form an international joint venture by partnering with Geneva-based TIDE MARITIME SERVICES S.A.
This pioneering move expanded our global time zone coverage and enabled the development of innovative cargo combinations and creative commercial solutions for clients worldwide.
Since 2018 we strengthened our service offering by establishing a dedicated Dry Desk to meet the rising demand in the dry bulk shipping sector. As a cargo broker with a core focus on dry bulk activities, we specialize in trade routes spanning the Atlantic and Indian Ocean basins.
